Carl P. Favre has been practicing law since 1980. – From 1987 to 2008, Carl Favre served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Planned Community Developers, Ltd., formerly known as Sugarland Properties Incorporated, the real estate developer of the 10,000 acre, master-planned community of First Colony, Sugar Land Town Square, Lake Pointe Town Center, and numerous other real estate projects in Harris and Fort Bend County, Texas. Carl Favre is experienced in representing and creating corporations and other business entities and handling all aspects of real estate transactions (including, but not limited to, property acquisitions, construction, leasing, and the selling of shopping centers, office complexes, and mixed-use real estate projects). Carl Favre represents both residential and commercial developers, builders, and property owner associations.
Carl Favre has served on the boards of numerous civic and community organizations including First Colony Community Association, Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce, Brazos River’s Edge Community Association, and Fort Bend Education Foundation. Carl Favre earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1973 and his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Arkansas in 1980. Carl Favre has been a Board Certified Commercial and Residential Real Estate attorney by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1987 and was named a Texas Super Lawyer in Texas Monthly Magazine during 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008. Carl Favre served as chairman of the Real Estate Section of the Houston Bar Association and is currently a member of Houston Real Estate Lawyers Council.
