Ross Asher has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 1988. Throughout his practice, Ross Asher has focused on civil litigation in the areas of insurance defense, toxic torts, products liability, serious injury and wrongful death cases. In the preceding ten years the majority of Ross Asher’s legal work has been devoted to the defense of products and premises liability cases related to claims of chemical exposure, including mass tort cases. Ross Asher has argued before the 1st and 14th Courts of Appeal of the State of Texas as well as the Texas Supreme Court.
Ross Asher attended Sam Houston State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice in 1974. Ross Asher then served on active duty as a United States Army Infantry Officer including a tour of duty as a Rifle Platoon Leader in the Demilitarized Zone of the Republic of Korea. After his military service, Ross Asher spent several years in the welding industry where Ross Asher gained valuable knowledge in various aspects of welding, fabrication, shop operations and safety, and general industrial knowledge, which have been of great benefit to him in the defense of various cases where these issues have arisen. Ross Asher later attended South Texas College of Law where Ross Asher earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree in 1987. While in law school, Ross Asher earned the school’s Mock Trial Championship as well as receiving the American Jurisprudence Award for Excellence in the study of torts. Ross Asher is licensed to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, The United States Court of Appeal for the Fifth Circuit, The United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of Texas as well as all courts in the State of Texas. Additionally, Ross Asher has been admitted Pro Hac Vice and represented clients in Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, New Jersey, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, California, Oregon, North Carolina, Kentucky and Washington. Ross Asher is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Houston Bar Association. Additionally, Ross Asher is an Adjunct Professor of Criminal Justice at Sam Houston State University. Ross Asher has received the highest possible peer rating of AV from Martindale Hubbell.
